Preheating from Eberspaecher

Eberspaecher’s AIRTRONIC Air Heaters

Eberspaecher’s air heaters are independent of both the engine and of the vehicle’s own heat balance. They draw in cool room or outside air, heat this up and then deliver it to the interior of the vehicle. Air heaters are an excellent solution for commercial vehicles of every type.

Eberspaecher’s HYDRONIC Coolant Heaters

Eberspaecher’s coolant heaters work independently of the engine and thus offer a double plus: pre-heating the vehicle’s passenger compartment and the engine. The heaters are integrated in the cooling system of the engine. The thermal energy gained is then distributed through the vehicle’s own heat exchanger as forced hot air and this heats the interior of the vehicle via existing air vents. The engine is warmed up with the residual heat in the cooling water.

The Heaters for Construction and Industrial Applications

Eberspaecher Air and Coolant heater kits can be customized to suit your specific needs. From units that are boxed for protection to controllers that can provide flexibility to your operation! Easy to Operate

Eberspaecher heaters operate as miniature furnaces independent of the engine, utilizing the units own diesel fuel and batteries to produce heat.

Efficient

Hydronic units heat the coolant, then circulate it to warm the engine and heat exchangers to near operating temp and can be sized to provide auxiliary heat for other critical fluids. Eberspaecher air heaters heat air directly and circulate air to applicable compartments.

E-Work HYDRONIC air heaters can provide ample heat to the cab, mobile work stations, crew shelters, all without idling the engine.

Productive

Using timer controls, heaters can be switched on to begin engine pre-heating at preset intervals, allowing operators to go directly to work upon arrival.

A/C Hose repairs

Replacement A/C Hose lines don’t have to be from the Original Manufacturer !

In the past it was difficult to find a supplier capable of doing AC hose repairs but with today’s wide selection of high quality fittings and hose, your replacement could be right here at ATC. The Air Conditioning System provides the desired cabin temperatures to ensure operator comfort. The AC hose is used to effectively transfer both liquid and gas between the components and should be inspected for leaks and repaired or replaced ASAP, to ensure the system continues to performance as expected.

Today many hose sets come with metal tube sections, some of which we offer. If no suitable fitting is available, using hose to replicate the metal tube is the next best thing.
Our experience suggests using Aeroquip hose and E-Z Clip may hold an advantage over crimp fittings for replacing metal tubes. Aeroquip EZ Clip & Hose fitting are a simple option for making or repairing Air Conditioning hose lines on heavy duty trucks, agricultural, construction and other industrial applications. No hydraulic equipment is needed, rather a simple, easy to use Crimping pliers enables quick and easy Ac Hose repairs in the field.
Each Aeroquip fitting
comes with 2 Clips which slide over the hose and a Cage which locks into the fitting, goes through the cages and is secured with crimper pliers.

The reduced diameter hose enables tighter turns but not right angles, without concern for “kinks” which would compromise the hose and AC system.
AC Hose Repair using Aeroquip EZ Clip Fittings and Hose, is a quick solution for quick turn around needs and mobile technicians. Providing even greater flexibility, when the E-Z Clip fitting is lubricated with a slight amount of refrigerant oil, before it’s inserted into the hose, the direction/index of the fitting can be changed by rotating the fitting in the hose. Once the refrigerant oil used has dried (1-2 hours) the fitting can no longer be turned or re-indexed.

Blower Motors & Wheels by Make

Blower Motors and Wheels are integral parts in the delivery and circulation of air in your vehicles Air Conditioning system. An Electric DC motor is used to circulate warm and cool air inside the cabin and/or sleeper. The Blower Motor “blows” and circulates the warm air from the fins of the heater core or cools the air at it passes from the fins of the evaporator.
Without these components, the hot or cold air produced by your air conditioning system won’t circulate to reach your vehicle’s interior cabin and or sleeper.

Why do Wintertime PM’s on your AC system

Tech tip courtesy of RedDOT

It’s that time of year again—temperatures are dropping, which means a few extra steps should be taken when servicing the HVAC systems.
How do you increase defroster performance and visibility for drivers ? Do a wintertime PM on your A/C system!

One of the best ways to improve uptime, reduce maintenance costs and e
nsure your A/C system runs at optimal performance all year, is conducting a complete HVAC inspection before winter. This should include a basic visual check of major A/C components, hose connections, and fittings at regular intervals, like with every engine-oil change. Many A/C components are consumable items. It’s more cost-effective to replace them than to repair them.

  1. Clean the fresh air filter. In cold weather, fresh air is used to help de-mist the inside of the windscreen. If the fresh air filter is dirty, the fresh air intake will be reduced, making de-misting more difficult. While you’re at it, clean the recirculated air filter to ensure proper total airflow and fresh/recirculated air balance.
  2. Recover and heat refrigerant. When it’s cold outside and you need to recover refrigerant, heat up the receiver drier with a heat gun or hair dryer during the recovery process. Don’t wait until the receiver drier ices up; instead, start applying the heat at the beginning of the recovery process to speed it up and ensure the maximum amount of refrigerant is recovered. You can also use the vehicle’s heater to warm the evaporator by running the heater before starting the refrigerant recovery.
  3. Check the water valve actuation and heater function. If the vehicle has a mode selector, ensure it works and the air can be directed to the desired areas, such as to defrost the windshield. Clear all candy wrappers, soda bottles or other objects off the dash so the defroster can properly direct air to the entire windscreen.
